Berea College

This award is for permanent staff members. Permanent is defined as full-time or part-time with no agreed-upon end date. Grant-funded positions and institutionally funded positions are eligible. The Co-Chairs will solicit the campus for nominations of a staff member via survey. Nominators are to provide the staff member’s name and a synopsis of their rationale for the nominee. Staff may self-nominate if they so choose. The Co-Chairs are to take these nominations to the SFAC for voting. Nominator names are not to be included. Co-Chairs may provide the information to the SFAC for review to later come together with their top choices. The recipient will be notified to ensure their presence at May Commencement. Only <strong>current</strong> faculty and staff may submit nominations. A wooden plaque will be presented to the award winner during May Commencement by a Staff Forum Co-Chair. A monetary award of $1,500 will also be provided to the award winner. This will be direct deposited to the winner after May Commencement and the recipient has been announced.

Full-time, regular employees in administrative, professional, and support staff positions, who do not hold faculty rank at Berea College, are eligible to receive the award. Staff excellence at the&nbsp;College can come in many forms. &nbsp;
