Surveys In-Progress

Below are the surveys that are in progress by the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA). Questions about the surveys can be sent to Eldana Ryskulova, Program Evaluation Specialist, at ryskulovae@berea.edu or to Clara Chapman, Director of the office, at chapmanc@berea.edu.

Six-Month Check-In:

  • To better help prepare our graduates for the workforce, we need to understand the successes and challenges at the six-month post-graduation point. To this end, we ask you to provide your employment history and any obstacles you have encountered. The initial email was sent on Monday, August 19th.

Male Initiative Program:

  • The OIRA is evaluating the impact of the Male Initiative course and overall program
  • Alums and currently-enrolled program participants with a valid email on file received an email from Scott Steele (Provost) using our Qualtrics software (the email address will be noreply@qemailserver.com). The initial email was sent on Thursday, July 18. The first reminder email was sent on Tuesday, July 23; the second reminder was sent on Wednesday, August 21st. Faculty who have taught the course sent emails the week of August 5 asking for participation.

Graduate Outcomes "Employment History since Berea":

  • In today's complicated employment, Berea must understand the post-graduate employment history of its graduates. To this end, we ask our alums to provide their employment history. Building this database of employment history will allow academic advisors, faculty, and labor supervisors to understand where our graduates are working and will enable them to provide current and future students with better and more concrete employment opportunities pathways that have been successful.
  • Post-graduate education is also important for us to understand; this survey does not ask you to provide this information as we have access to that data through the National Student Clearinghouse (Student Tracker System).
  • Graduates from 2000-2023 with a valid email on file received an email from Scott Steele (Provost) using our Qualtrics software (the email address will be noreply@qemailserver.com). The initial email was sent on Monday, July 8. The first reminder email was sent on Saturday, July 27th, and the final reminder was sent on Friday, August 16th.

Cooperative Institutional Research Program (CIRP):

  • First-year and transfer students are asked to complete this national survey aimed at understanding college students. This survey asks for their opinions on many items relevant to their college expectations, academic habits and experiences, what influenced their college choice, goals and values, and how they spend their time.
  • First-year and transfer students received the initial email from Scott Steele (Provost) on Friday, August 23. A reminder was sent on Tuesday, August 27.
