Application Checklist Components
Complete the Berea College Application for Admission. There is no application fee.
Submit your official transcripts from all institutions attended after leaving Berea to transcripts@berea.edu.
Spring Applicants: Applicants are required to submit the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov. Berea’s FAFSA code is 001955.
Summer Applicants: Applicants are required to submit the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov. Berea’s FAFSA code is 001955.
Fall Applicants: Applicants will be required to submit the 2025-2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov. Berea’s FAFSA code is 001955.
Prior to the FAFSA opening, submission of the Financial Resource Questionnaire (FRQ), a form unique to Berea, helps to determine if a student meets the College’s financial eligibility requirement. Link to the FRQ may be found in a student’s applicant portal. Although offers of admission may be made based upon information submitted via the FRQ, all such offers will be considered tentative until such time as final FAFSA results are received.
Submit your essay response by logging into your portal.
Your essay response should include:
- How have you spent your time since leaving Berea College?
- Share about your former experience and performance while enrolled at Berea College, including some explanation as to why you discontinued your enrollment.
- What would you like the Admissions Decision Team to know about you prior to making a decision regarding your application for readmission that they otherwise would be unlikely to learn?
- What are you planning to major in and how certain are you of your academic plans?
For all non-US citizens, documentation must be submitted to confirm eligibility for financial aid. Check your student portal after you submit your application form for further details.
