Bio

Cindy is a graduate of Berea College and came back to contribute to the mission of the College. She has degrees in Psychology and Human Development and Family Studies. Her work has focused on young children and she has conducted research in the areas of peer relations, disability, and early childhood education. She has also worked closely with child development laboratory programs which focus on training professionals for working with young children. Currently, she is the Program/Curriculum Director of the Child Development Laboratory at Berea College. Her current research focuses on using the Reggio Emilia philosophy in training preservice teachers and teachers in practice. She teaches the following courses at Berea College:
